Year 11 VCE Expectations
It has been a great start for Year 11 VCE students. Students have been embracing the challenge of VCE working well with others, preparing themselves well for assessments, getting feedback from their teachers and behaving well.
There are some added responsibilities in Year 11 VCE that parents need to be aware of. It is expected that students undertaking Year 11 studies complete 1 hr of homework for EACH subject each night. This may mean that students can be doing up to 4-5 hours of homework a night.
Expected that all students have their required equipment (laptops, textbooks, edrolo, calculators etc). We know this can be an expensive time so please if you are having any financial difficulties please contact Ms Corney.
Students should also limit part-time jobs to 10 hours a week.
Attendance requirements are 95%
If your child is absent, please contact Drew (the senior school attendance officer) and provide a reason for their absence.
EXTRA CLASSES
VCE can sometimes be a difficult time for students, adjusting to the extra work, managing their time and preparing for assessments. The College has a number of extra study sessions organised to assist students.
We encourage all students to attend these sessions for extra support.
COMMUNICATION
The College users compass as a communication tool. We encourage all parents to have access to their child’s compass.
You can use compass for the following:
If you do not have your compass login please contact College reception.
