From the Principal

Craig Allender & Carys Freeman

As we wrap up the first term of the year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many events and achievements that have taken place at our College.

Our Athletics Carnival was a huge success, with our students demonstrating a great level of sportsmanship and teamwork. It was great to see so many students participating in various events, from sprints to long distance runs, high jump and shot put. Congratulations to all our winners and participants!

I would also like to remind everyone of our upcoming Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews, which provide an opportunity for parents to meet with teachers and discuss their child's progress. This is an important time for collaboration and communication, so I encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity.

We have faced some staffing challenges this term, but I am proud of how our school community has come together to overcome these obstacles. We have worked hard to ensure that our students' education and wellbeing remain our top priority.

Our Year 7 and 12 camps were a highlight of the term, with students enjoying a range of outdoor activities and team-building exercises. These camps provide a valuable opportunity for our students to develop their leadership skills, make new friends and create lasting memories.

Our students also recently completed NAPLAN testing, and I want to commend them on their hard work and dedication. These tests can be stressful, but our students demonstrated a positive attitude and a commitment to achieving their best.

Our College Production rehearsals are well underway, and our students are working tirelessly to bring the beloved story of Shrek to life. I cannot wait to see the final product, and I encourage all our families to come and support our talented performers.

Finally, I am thrilled to announce that our College has grown to almost 2000 students, a testament to the excellent education and opportunities that we provide. I want to thank our dedicated staff and supportive families for making this growth possible.

As we look forward to the next term, I am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. I wish you all a happy and restful break, and I look forward to seeing you back at school soon.
