     School P-2

We are offering an information session for those who would like to be a parent helper in the classroom for Literacy, or any families in P-2 who would like some ideas about how to support their child’s literacy learning at home.

Parents in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 who intend to volunteer in the classroom are asked to attend if they have not previously done so.  If you have previously completed a Parent Helper Course there is no need to attend again. If you would like a refresher you are most welcome.  Attendees are not obligated to work in the classrooms but for those interested, helpers in classrooms will begin in Term 2.

When : Tuesday 28 March

Time : 9-10am

Where : In the PAC

(Please sign in at the office before going to the PAC)

Our students in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 are getting very excited about our upcoming Grandparents and Special Friends Open Morning. This event is taking place on Thursday March 23 between 9.00 and 11.00am and an Operoo went out this week.

This will be an ‘open house’ event where visitors can come for some or all of the morning, and will be welcomed into classrooms to spend time with their grandchild or special friend.

Visitors will be able to move between classrooms if they have multiple children in Prep, Year 1 or Year 2 and our amazing school garden will be open. Please refer to the map sent via Operoo for classroom locations.

Frank and the garden team will have some vegetables for sale so please bring along a gold coin if you're interested.

The morning will conclude with a picnic lunch on the oval from about 10.30am. Visitors are invited to bring a blanket or chairs for the picnic, and some food if they would like. Students will bring out their lunch boxes.

We understand not all children will have grandparents or a special friend to attend so please be assured that all students will be included and able to participate regardless.

See you there!

On the last day of term, Tuesday 4th April we will be having an Easter Hat Parade. Students are encouraged to make or decorate a hat at home with an Easter theme or to wear bunny ears. Families are invited to come along and watch the parade which will be held on the basketball court at 9.00am, weather permitting.
