Year 5 

On Monday the 20th of March, the Year 5 and 6 students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the incursion of Wheelchair Basketball. 

The students gained an understanding of how to use the wheelchair effectively whilst learning the skills of dribbling and shooting. Not only did they learn these skills and put them into practise as individuals, but they also ended the incursion with a wheelchair basketball match. 

This experience provided the students with an insight into what it is like to play a sport in a wheelchair. 

The students did not stop smiling through it all, especially when they learnt how to shoot while sitting.
