SRC

The Student Representative Council (SRC) plays an integral role at Roselea Public School and involves students from Years 2 to 6. It is designed to give students the opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills as well as develop their self-confidence. SRC run fortnightly meetings to discuss topics that are raised by their fellow class members. These issues are taken to staff meetings, P&C meetings and other groups within the school community.

From this, SRC students plan, promote and start a range of initiatives for students to participate in and raise money to support charities and our school.

Some activities that SRC students are involved in include:

  • Fundraising opportunities
  • Communication between staff and year groups
  • Communicating events in the school newsletter
  • The organisation of school initiatives including recycling

On the 22nd February, our SRC students were presented with their badges at our first whole school assembly. Below are the group of students elected by their peers to represent students within our school community for semester 1.

Our first initiative for 2023 was our annual Clean Up Australia Day event. On the 3rd March our school took part in cleaning up our rubbish and making our school shine! SRC students and environmental leaders worked together, showing off their creativity to design posters to promote this meaningful event. Thank you to all students and parents who supported this great initiative!
