House Spirit

Welcoming the prep students to their house.

On Monday this week our Year Six leaders hosted the preps in the hall and talked to them about our school houses/teams (colours): Besgrove, Hinton, Nepean and McCombe. 

The school Houses are like a little family where lots of people from all around the school including the teachers come together. This gives everyone a sense of belonging and a chance to make friends. We do lots of fun activities within our houses and we have lots of competitions. We do things like swimming, cross country, athletics day, house day and alot more! 

On Monday we split into our houses and made keychains that had our house names and colours on them.  Then we played a couple of games within our houses. 

• Besgrove (gold) played bobs and statues. 
• Hinton (red) played duck duck goose, but instead of saying duck duck goose it was 'Hinton, Hinton house'. 
• Nepean (blue) played musical chairs   and 
• McCombe (green) played fruit salad! 

It was a great and fun way to introduce the Preps to their house colour, team. We all had so much fun!
