School Council

It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of Term 3! 

At our recent meeting on 16 August 2022, the areas of focus for School Council were:  

• Building and Grounds Sub-Committee – our next working bee will be held on Sunday 11 September from 2-4pm. All welcome! Progress is also being made to source quotes to replace broken ceiling panels throughout the school, and the heaters in the science room.  
• OHSC Sub-Committee – we continue to work closely with Camp Australia to ensure the program meets the needs of our students. We are continuing to hear positive feedback from students about their time with Camp Australia. 

As a reminder, Camp Australia is offering a program this coming Friday 26th August which is a MPS Curriculum Day. Bookings are now open for the upcoming Rocketeers school holiday program. 

• Education Sub-Committee – the focus for month was the Student Dress Code Policy, which was passed and will be available to the school community.
• Finance Sub-Committee  - the focus has now turned to budgeting process for 2023.
• Publicity and Promotion Sub-Committee – Work continues on promoting MPS to the broader community.
