VTAC SEAS and Scholarship Guidance for Year 12 Students and Parents

Current Year 12 VCE students who have applied for TAFE and/or university courses through VTAC and have paid, now need to complete the SEAS and Scholarship sections of their VTAC application.

Most of the scholarships awarded in Victoria are through the VTAC application process.

VTAC requires all SEAS and scholarship applications from Year 12 students to be completed by Friday, 7th of October (Term 4, Week 1).

Scholarships are awarded for many reasons, most are targeted to build equity and access for all Victorian secondary students.

Scholarships are available to support students with financial disadvantage, difficult circumstances and the need to relocate for study. There are also scholarships for Indigenous Australians, community service and academic merit.

Centrelink also have a Relocation Scholarship for students who are entitled to Youth Allowance to help them to meet the costs of moving away from home to commence a

course:

It is the applicant’s personal responsibility to research and complete their SEAS and scholarship applications in a timely manner, ensuring that supporting documentation is provided.
