Good Luck Girls!

Wishing our Aerobics Team every success this Saturday as they compete in Queensland  at the National Competition. Congratulations to the Level 5 girls and Miss Little and Mrs Hoewel for all their hard work and dedication!

Footy Winners!

Last Sunday morning, the Glen Waverley Rovers U11’s team took on the Boronia Hawks Football club at Walley Tew Reserve in the EFL Grand Final.

During the first Quarter, Boronia started off really well kicking the first 2 goals in 5 minutes. But Rovers kicked back with their own goal late in that quarter.

The Rovers were able to level the score in the second quarter after an amazing goal from Dylan, where he fended off three players then snapped it around his body.

The Rovers hit the lead in the third quarter with a nice goal from the pocket. Some desperation tackling from various players kept the Rovers in the lead heading into the final term.

The final quarter saw both teams score a goal each which meant the Rovers were victorious on the day.

Congratulations to Joel R, Sam M and Johannes T from Level 5 for your Grand Final WIN!!!!!!

I’m sure there will be plenty more in the future.

Hockey Success

Last year Jells Park Primary School reported that Grace Carter (2021 Level 6) was selected as SSV U12 hockey goalie.

Unfortunately due to Covid lockdowns the national competition in Canberra was cancelled. Grace has now just been selected as 1 of 2 hockey goalies for U13 girls Hockey Victoria team.

She and her team will represent Victoria in the national tournament to be held in Hobart from Sept 28 - Oct 4.  Grace plays for Waverley Hockey Club.

She also recently played in the Junior State Championship as goalie for Hotshots team. Her team won the bronze medal, in a close match that came down to a penalty shootout at the end.
