Deputy Principal's Report

End of Term 3

Here we are at the end of another busy term. I know that Mr Berlingeri has listed all of our achievements this term on his page so I won't go through them again but no wonder everyone is tired!  Holiday are a chance to take a break from normal routines and hopefully everyone will have a chance to relax.

There are a few actions that we can take over the holidays in order to support positive mental health. Some are suitable for our primary-aged students and some are good reminders for us as adults.

  • Exercise boosts mood and mental health – make it fun!
  • Nourish your brain by eating healthily – it will also improve your mood
  • Prioritise sleep to support mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Stay in touch and catch up with friends and loved ones
  • Make time to do things you enjoy
  • Practice positive self-talk – and remember you are not alone
  • Be mindful of screen time - perhaps set a time limit for each day

TOMORROW  - St Finbar's Feast Day Friday 16th September  - To celebrate St Finbar's Feast Day, which falls on September 25th, students are invited to wear green (or at least a touch of green) to acknowledge St Finbar's Irish heritage. The Year 6 students will plan and deliver a session to each class from Prep to Year 5 designed to teach the younger students the history of St Finbar. The students will attend Mass at 12pm.
