Year 7 Girls NMR Netball Finals
The Year 7 Girls netball played in the NMR finals against schools who won their local district's netball on Friday 19th August. The team had a very successful day with winning all three of their games in their pool to make it to the finals. Unfortunately, we had some injuries in the final and were unable to beat Melbourne Girls.
Mia Grbic our captain has summarised how the girls represented the school's three values:
Achieve - We achieved a lot on the day, with three wins making us proceed to the finals.
Respect - We all showed respect to all our oppositions whether it was a win or not. Every single girl paid respect to the umpires and did not argue back.
Connect - The team connected with one another positively and worked hard as a team to get the results we wanted. We all communicated well and gave each other advice and helped each other grow throughout the day.
Team: Esther Frawley, Darcy Brennan, Lana Evans, Mia Grbic, Angelina Lavcanski, Freya Nicholl, Evie Nicholl, Poppy Penninger and Emily Sellwood.
