Inter-House Athletics Carnival

On Wednesday, 10 August the College held our annual Inter-House Athletics Carnival at Ern Clark Athletics Centre. The days leading up to the event weren’t promising because of heavy rain, but fortunately the carnival was blessed with clear blue skies bringing lots of enthusiasm. Congratulations to all students for their participation and effort throughout the day. The level of House spirit on display throughout the day was excellent. Whether it was cheering in the straight or participating in novelty events or the traditional track and field events there was a great buzz around the event.

Madgeburg won the Spirit Bear Award which factored in the novelty games format that saw each year group participate. We had a dance off down the 100m straight and the judges factored in the general support and enthusiasm from House bays throughout the day.

The House points tally was a close race all day, but it was Prémontré who came out with the title of the 2022 Interhouse Athletics Carnival Champion House!

Thank you to everyone who was involved in the organisation and the running of events on the day. Special mentions go to our fantastic staff who all played a vital role in creating a fantastic Athletics Carnival. Also, to the PE Department and our Athletics Coach Lisa Hopkins for the vital role in preparation of the Carnival. The College now turns its attention to the ACC Athletics Carnival which will take place in Week 9.
