Year 12 Wellbeing Day

On Monday 5 September, Year 12 participated in a Wellbeing day. We had 20 GP’s visit our school for several hours and talk with our Year 12’s in smaller groups about a range of issues, including understanding the Medicare system, accessing support, the difference between private and bulk billing, and answering any questions the students may have. The GP’s in Schools program was very much a success and our students were very grateful for this opportunity.

The second part of the day involved the return of a group of ex Killara High students who came to answer questions about getting through the HSC and share with our Year 12’s the possible directions you can take after school, work, university, TAFE, and what life after the HSC may look like. They shared their tips for successful studying, and how to balance study and life.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guest speakers who gave up their time to help our current Year 12’s as they prepare for the HSC and for life beyond it.
