STAFFING NEWS

We welcome Danni Ibbott to St Kevin’s. Danni will be working in 5/6 P while Andrew teaches PE in Term 4 on a Tuesday and Thursday.  Danni is a caring, friendly professional who has a calming deposition and empowers students to be their best. I am sure you and the students will enjoy working with Danni.  Her email address will be activated in the holidays so you can communicate with her. dibbott@sktemplestowelr.catholic.edu.au

Last week Fulvia's Mother in Law, Anna, passed away. We keep Fulvia and all her family in our prayers and thoughts.  RIP Anna.

Also, Fulvia will be absent for the first seven weeks of Term 4 as she is having a hip operation.  We hope all goes well for Fulvia and  wish her a speedy recovery.

PERFORMANCE CAROL’S NIGHT

The Students will present a modified version of the play ‘Stable’s Matters’ at the ‘Family Carols and Year in Review Evening’ on the 5th of December.  Each class will present a song and a carol.  The Year 6 students will take on the main parts and they will rehearse with Maria Buttifant (Performing Arts Teacher) during Performing Arts Sessions and during some selected breaks.

SCHOOL COUNSELOR

In Term Four we welcome Caroline Rutkowski to our school community. Caroline is completing her final Year in Master of Clinical Psychology and also working at Emmanuel College. Students can be referred to Caroline by Parents and Teachers (with Parental Consent).  Please let me know if your child/ren would benefit from these sessions.

MACSSIS SURVEY

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the MACSSIS Survey.  I felt privileged to work with the Year 4 to Year 6 students while they completed the survey.  We chatted about some tricky language and surveying techniques.    All staff, Year 4-6 students and parents were asked to complete the survey.

COMPASS

Mr Con and I are beginning work with onboarding data for the Compass Platform. More information to follow in Term 4.

SHOUT OUTS

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and staff (School and Parish) at St Kevin’s who supported the Cyber Evening the Languages Evening, assisted in the Father’s Stall, work in the Canteen, support staff and children as parent helpers, attend PFA and SAC meetings,  assisted at sporting events and excursions, attended masses and celebrated Sacraments as well as Feast days with us.  Thank you for placing beautiful messages on our Facebook and Instagram pages. These are being read, shared and mentioned frequently to me.  Thank you for always being ready to assist and being people of faith.  I repeat that I have been blessed to be placed in this treasured community.

To the students you are the warmest and most precious element of our school.  Thank you for listening and trying your best to be great learners.

I hope we all have a restful break and return fresh and rejuvenated ready to welcome Term 4, 2022.

21 Parents read the last newsletter and completed the survey.

It would be great if 82 families respond to the survey!

How can we grow this number?  By suggesting to fellow parents to complete the survey.

Thank you to all parents who do complete the survey.

Year 3/4 & 5/6  results are a draw this week!

Second hand School Uniforms

When purchasing second hand uniforms could you please re label with your students name. This is essential for if they end up in lost property and so the children can identify their own clothing if lost.
