HOUSE MUSIC: BOY BANDS

What is House Music?  House Music is the one Senior School event for the whole year where the whole House, yes every single student, takes to the stage to form the House choir which must present the set song followed and an own choice song.  The four Houses battle it out in a festival of singing, choralography and Year 12 costumery to see who is crowned the House Music Champions of the year.

Following the singing, each House must present an instrumental item that features a minimum of five students.  The chosen work for this section is completely free and can play to the ‘strengths’ of each House.  Most importantly House Music is the last competition in the season and as such can decide the coveted House trophy which is presented on Speech Day.  This year we welcome Old Collegian, Axle Whitehead, as The Hamilton and Alexandra College House Music 2022 Celebrity Judge.  The theme for 2022 is ‘Boy Bands’.  Don’t miss House Music 2022, Friday September 16. Axle might even sing for us.

Parents are invited to attend House Music but seats are limited in the Simons Auditorium. If the Simons reaches capacity, we will live stream the event into the Tim Murray Room.  Click here to register
