Headspace Wellbeing Sessions

We have been very lucky to have staff from the Warrnambool Headspace branch deliver two sessions at the Senior School on ‘Managing Stress and Anxiety’ and ‘Helpful Choices’. We thank Headspace for offering to run these sessions and giving our students extra skills to cope with everyday stressors and pressures that young people are facing. These sessions have been run in small groups with Y 7 and 8 students, though we are looking at further sessions in Term 4 with different groups of students across other year levels.

Southern Grampians Youth Directory

There has been a fabulous new Southern Grampians Youth Directory website established for young people in our region to find help and support, get active and connected, both locally and online.  The Youth Directory provides local program and service information in an easily accessible, convenient location.  The idea started with young people and was developed as a partnership between members of the Southern Grampians Youth Network, coordinated by Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic), and funded by YACVic and Brophy Family & Youth Services Hamilton. Support can be found for areas such as health, mental health, accommodation, education, employment and driving.

Some Year 10 students will be representing the school and heading to the Celebration and Launch of the new Southern Grampians Youth Directory on Tuesday 13th September.
