Game On Recycling

Ever wondered if there’s a better option to throwing your punctured, old or unloved sporting equipment in the waste bin? We’re happy to announce that we’re working with Game On Recycling to help collect and recycle damaged, old and unwanted sporting balls, rackets and bats from our school and our local community! We invite you to bring in your unwanted sporting waste between Tuesday 30th August to Friday 9th September to help us with this great initiative.   The bin will be situated in the grass area between the school hall and the church, next to the main school car park.  Click on the attachment below to find out more.

Students achieving in Sport

Our Year 5 student Shaenyce was selected to represent Victoria at the 48th AKF National Championships in Rockhampton from the 5th-7th August.  She competed in both Kata and Kumite.  She finished 4th in Female 10-11 Years Kata and 3rd in Female U12 Years -35kgs Kumite, which was a fantastic effort for her very first National tournament.  Well done Shaenyce.

Her sister Tahnysha, who also went to Resurrection a few years ago has been selected to represent Australia at the 10th Commonwealth Karate Championships in Birmingham UK.  She will be leaving in 2 weeks, competing in the Junior Division (16-17 Years) for the first time.   Good luck Tahnysha!

If there are any other students competing in sport outside of school and would like to share their achievements, please let me know via email including pictures!
