Suzanne Cory Twilight Fair

Suzanne Cory High School is proud to present our inaugural Twilight Fair - a free evening of music and entertainment for our whole school community!

Families and friends of Suzanne Cory High School are warmly invited to celebrate the 2018 school year at our first-ever Twilight F air. Complimentary tea and coffee, food trucks, and gelato carts will be on hand to provide delicious summer treats, while a range of games, activities, and student demonstrations will be available to entertain throughout the night.

We especially look forward to welcoming our incoming 2019 cohort of Year 9 students and their families, and providing an opportunity for them to experience the school, mingle with staff, and meet existing students in a fun, informal setting.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday, 16 November, in the Agora and Agora Courtyard for a exceptional night of community fun!

Suzanne Cory on LIVE FM's Education Week

Staff and students of Suzanne Cory High School had the amazing opportunity to participate in LIVE FM's Education Week - a week-long program of radio documentaries and interviews shining a spotlight on schools across Victoria.

Student leaders, teachers, coordinators, and principals were interviewed for the program, and covered a range of topics, including the unique learning environment of Suzanne Cory, and the opportunities it provides for its students. To listen to their fantastic responses, download the SCHS Education Week Podcast here.

Choir Orchestra and Band Tour to China 2019

Following on from our proposed China Tour (2019) meeting from the end of Term three, we are organising a Choir, Orchestra and Band to participate in the Tutti International Music Festival in Beijing from July 4-19.  This tour will also incorporate concerts in Shanghai and Suzhou on the return trip. The total cost for the trip is $5,395 to be paid over 6 instalments. If you are interested in joining this trip following our Tour meeting, I have enclosed as attachments a letter outlining our tour payments and conditions.  This includes a payment schedule and a document from our Travel Company Gulliver’s Travel, outlining the tour itinerary, conditions and highlights from the travel agent.  The first payment and expression of interest confirmation with a down payment of $900 is required on or before 11 November 2018.

Broadway & Hollywood Tour 2019

Suzanne Cory High School is offering an exciting opportunity for students at all year levels to participate in an educational tour in the USA during the last week of Term 3 and the September school holidays next year. The tour group will be visiting Los Angeles and New York, with a focus on experiences within the theatre and film industries. Students do not need to be enrolled in Drama or Media to attend the tour.

This is an invitation for all interested parents/guardians and students to attend an Information Evening in the SCHS auditorium on Tuesday, November 13th at 7:00pm.  There will be a brief presentation from the organising teacher and the travel agent, followed by an opportunity to ask questions. The presentation will likely finish between 8:00pm - 8:15pm, although staff and the travel agent will be available to assist with any further enquiries afterwards. Students attending the evening information session must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. There is no need to RSVP.

We are very excited to be presenting this amazing opportunity and we hope to see you there!
