Assistant Principal's Report

From the Assistant Principal
NAPLAN
This year, our school will be conducting the NAPLAN tests online.
The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) assesses literacy and numeracy skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life.
All students in Grades 3 and 5 are expected to participate in the annual NAPLAN assessment.
Tomorrow, students in Grades 3 and 5 will attempt a statewide practice test, under test conditions. This is to ensure they understand the test format and to ensure our computer infrastructure is capable of handling the load. Further practice testing will also be conducted over the next few weeks.
In May, students will be involved in the real tests. A NAPLAN individual student report will be issued later in the year.
If you have any questions or concerns about NAPLAN testing, please contact either me or your child's class teacher.
