Reconciliation Week
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2023, Be a Voice for Generations, encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives – where we live, work and socialise. Here at JPPS many classes have spent time learning about the history and ongoing struggles faced by Indigenous Australians. Some examples include Level 3, where the students have been reading and reviewing Dreamtime stories and Level 6 students, who have discussed the meaning of reconciliation and it's importance, and then used images and text to describe what a future Australia could look like.
Education Week - Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate
Last week during education week I found some delightful Level 3 girls perfectly demonstrating the 'Move' component of Active Learners: Move, Make Motivate during recess. It took several takes, fantastic teamwork (and a lot of squealing!) to get the photo just right. Great effort girls!

Parent Teacher Interviews
Mid year Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 20th June. More information about times and booking procedure will be emailed early next week. I encourage parents and carers to take this opportunity to discuss their child's progress and ask any questions they may have regrading the Semester 1 report.
Foundation 2024
If you are an existing family with a child starting Foundation next year please come into the office to collect an enrolment form. Enrollment forms are due by 28July. We are currently running School Tours for prospective 2024 families. A link is available on our website and below.
Please promote and advertise our school and let any prospective families that might be interested know that tours are now available.
