VOCABULARY

Structure: the order of events that happen in a story.

 

Fiction: something told or written that is made up or not real.


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Choose a fiction text from your satchel, or a book you have at home, read through it and identify the different parts of the text.

 

Exposition: Introduction of characters and setting.

Rising Action: Build up towards the climax.

Climax: The main event of the story.

Falling Action: Events leading towards the resolution.

Resolution: The problem is solved.
