Division Cross Country

On Wednesday May 31 our speediest students ran the Division Cross Country race at Mirrabooka reserve. Good Shepherd students performed very well, with three of our students moving forward to the Regional round at Yarra Glen racecourse on July 13. We wish them the very best of luck as they represent our school.

Hugh Bartlett (4th Place)

I was excited but nervous at the same time to be competing against so many great runners. I was doing my best but could feel myself running out of energy. In the end, I finished 4th! I was really tired but very proud. I'm excited to be going to Regionals. I play a lot of sport so hopefully that will help me to prepare

Roman Bidese (6th Place)

I was nervous before the competition. I ran my hardest until I was puffed out, and am proud of myself for achieving my goal of moving on to Regionals. I'm excited but also worried about Regionals because it will be a tough competition. I made it this far last time but twisted my ankle and didn't finish my race. I hope that doesn't happen again.

Anthony Karaiskos (9th Place)

When I started running I became really focussed on doing my best. The nerves from before turned into tiredness but I pushed through. I was so exhausted and proud at the end to have made it to Regionals. I hope I do well personally and as a representative for Good Shepherd.
