Reconciliation Week

Last week we celebrated National Reconciliation Week. Students had time to reflect on our shared histories and build on positive respectful relationships and connections between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and other Australians.
This year's theme was ‘Be a Voice for Generations’. The theme ‘....encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives- where we live, work and socialise. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds, actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships’. (Reconciliation Australia Organisation, 2023).
The students created a Reconciliation display in the school foyer, pictured above. Each student decorated a hand to represent the need for change.
