Important Reminders

We remind all families that we are a NUT FREE SCHOOL. No students should be consuming whole nuts (in their original form, in trail mix/muesli bars, in chocolate bars), nut-butter products or Nutella products on school premises or at any school event.
This rule is in place to protect students with allergies, especially those that are anaphylactic. Nuts are one of the most common anaphylaxis triggers, and can create a life-threatening situation in a matter of seconds. We remind you also that anaphylaxis can occur at any time to any person, even without previous diagnosis. This rule minimises risk for all of our children.
The same rules apply to EGGS in their whole form (boiled, scrambled, fried, etc).
Phones and smart watches with calling/photo capabilities which are brought to school are also to be handed in to the office at the beginning of the day and collected after the dismissal bell. This rule is to stop theft or loss of these valuable items, and minimise distraction in classrooms. This also removes possibilities for images or videos of students to appear on social media platforms without consent or knowledge, and reduces likelihood of cyberbullying incidents. Students are provided with iPads/Chromebooks in their classrooms for when technology is needed in a lesson. All communication with students during the day can be done through the office. Our office staff will be happy to pass on any messages to your children and/or their teacher.
