Principals' Message

Term two has been a busy but wonderful term filled with many events and celebrations.

With only two weeks left, it leaves us reflecting on all that has been achieved in a short period of time. The money raised to support  the Breast Cancer Foundation was an absolute credit to our school community. The hard work from our Parents and Friends in sourcing gifts for the Mother's Day stall was certainly appreciated by our mums, grandparents, carers and aunts. Cross Country and Inter- School Sport has allowed the children to shine on the sporting field. Academically we have seen wonderful achievements. Whilst visiting classrooms the children we have seen students enjoying opportunities to work collaboratively and individually.

That is not where it stops as we still have our Parents and Friends Sausage Sizzle on Tuesday 13 June and Crazy Hair Day on Friday 23 June. Please be reminded that the final day for Term 2 is Friday 23 June with a 1.00pm finish.

The final touches are being put to our 2023 concerts. We have been so impressed with the energy, efforts and enthusiasm from all of our students. They have shown dedication, resilience and commitment in mastering  their class performances.

For some children performing in front of an audience proves challenging, yet they all seem to be enjoying the experience. We are already proud of students and cannot wait for them to showcase their talents next Wednesday 14 June and Thursday 15 June.

Our teachers also need to be congratulated for their hard work, energy and commitment in preparing for the concert. On top of that they have been busy working on reports which will be available in the last week of term.

Parking continues to be an issue. We are aware that the streets around Good Shepherd can be very busy. We ask that all families show respect in regard to following road rules and show consideration to our neighbours.

Please be reminded that the school will be closed on Monday 12 June for the King's Birthday Holiday. A timely opportunity for everyone to make the most of an extra sleep in and a break from routine.

If you are travelling this long weekend we wish you safe and happy travels.

We look forward to seeing the students on Tuesday 13 June.

Take care
