We are excited to announce that we will be running a Student Disco Fundraiser this term! Full information has been shared with families in a flyer sent home this week.

Payment can be taken at the office by EFT or cash, or return the payment slip with card information noted. NB. Card information is securely destroyed after input into our EFT terminal.

We will need the assistance of some Parent Helpers on the night - for sessions 1 and/or 2. If you are available to assist with such activities as cutting orange slices,  selling disco items, or applying temporary tattoos, please contact the office.

Maths Open Morning

Next Thursday, June 1, we will be opening our classrooms for a Maths Open Morning! Families are invited to come in to learning areas and engage in a maths activity with their child and to see and hear all of the wonderful ways our students are engaging with Maths!

Deakin Teddy Bear Hospital visits the Preps

The Deakin Teddy Bear Hospital is a multidisciplinary student-led initiative, run entirely through the involvement of student volunteers. The aim is to familiarise and de-stigmatise healthcare settings for children, promote health and wellbeing in a fun and interactive way while providing future healthcare professionals the opportunity to improve communication skills with children.

The Prep students had a great time working with the teddy bears, giving them needles, using a stethoscope, looking at x-rays and even giving them oxgen! They also got to dress up and look very professional!

Never Never Gates

Most families will know that the gates, or lack thereof, to both our staff car parks are referred to as the Never Never Gates. The reason for this - is that students and families are to Never Never access our school grounds via these entry points.

Please do not use the car park entrance points as a means to access the school grounds.

CSEF - Camps, Sports and Excursions fund

If you think you may be eligible, please contact the office.  Applications close June 23.

Headlice

Unfortunately headlice is a regular feature throughout our children's school years. We ask families to always be on the 'look out' for headlice in your child/rens hair. Itching can be a very tell-tale symptom of an occurrence of headlice.

Please notify the office of any instances of lice found in your child/rens hair. Be assured any reports of headlice will be kept confidential. Children are welcome back to school after completing a course of hair treatment.
