Middle School Band

All 52 year 7 IGNITE and year 7 specialist music students had their debut performance on Wednesday of week 4.

Students have been learning their selected instruments for only 10 weeks. This performance was a chance to show off their new skills and hard work to families and friends. 

Students performed a variety of pieces together and individually in instrument groups including: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Doo-wooty Beat, and What Makes You Beautiful were favourites.

Students will continue to collaborate and work together to learn new music whilst developing their skills further through the year, ready to perform again in term 3.

Following the year 7 performance, the year 8 and 9 music students showed off their skills, wowing audiences with team work and dedication to music. The year 8’s performed Ghostbusters, getting the audience involved with some accurately timed yelling, while year 9’s showed off some old school hits such as Tears in Heaven and Don’t Stop Believing.
