Athletics Carnival
MGSC's annual Athletics Carnival was held on Tuesday 9 May. There were a few showers forecast, however staff and students were optimistic the showers would ease into sunshine. Unfortunately, the weather did not go our way and the heavy rain caused the event to be called to a halt. Luckily the student leaders had their fundrais BBQ on early.
I would like to thank all of the students who attended the event knowing the weather was not going to be favourable, but were still determined to do their best in their track and field events. A big thank you to all staff who ventured out of their classroom for the day to assist with the running of the carnival.
Catch-up Athletics day
The sun finally came out for our miniature athletics day on Wednesday 17 May. Sixty students competed in their chosen track and field events to be selected for the divisional competition in September. There are still some results to be collected for Senior students, therefore all students who qualified will be notified at a later stage. Well done to everyone involved!
