Second-hand uniform

On Friday 12 May the PFA opened the doors of the uniform shop during school hours so that students could stock up on their winter uniforms.  There are still plenty of skirts, blouses and blazers available for sale during the normal opening hours on Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings. If you have any items that you wish to sell or donate, the shop could use more slacks, rugby tops and tracksuit pants.  These can be left at the office or dropped into the shop when open.  As the winter sale was a success, we will be holding a change of season sale before the transition to the summer uniform later in the year.

Grants program

The support of the uniform shop by the school community leads to great rewards.  The income from the Uniform shop together with fundraising by the PFA is all in the hope that our school will benefit in some way. Recently, Domain Leaders and teachers were given the opportunity to submit requests for grants for items that are not possible without the assistance of additional funding from within the school.  We are excited to be able to provide that assistance, providing more than $16,000 in grants.  New gym equipment, a projector and large backlit screen, an additional 3D printer, UE Boom Speakers and books for the library are just some of the items that will be purchased over the coming months.

We look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts throughout the year.  If you would like to be part of the PFA, it’s never too late, email pfa@mgsc.vic.edu.au.
