THS Staff & Student Achievements

Rotary Youth Enrichment Program (RYPEN)

RYPEN is an introductory leadership development program for young people, fully sponsored by Rotary. Congratulations to Amelia Robertson who attended the RYPEN program recently & spoke about her experience at the monthly Rotary meeting.

Participants aged approximately 14 to 16 years attend a weekend & develop increased motivation, improved life skills, better self-image, pride in themselves and an understanding of setting and achieving goals.  At the same time, participants are interacting with peers from different backgrounds, and different parts of our district, improving their teamwork skills and having fun!!  All this done in an informal atmosphere, where questions and debates are encouraged.

Well done Amelia, we are very proud of you & thank you to Rotary Tenterfield!

Tenterfield Care Centre

Selected students from THS attend Haddington & Millrace each Wednesday as part of the TCC community engagement program. Recently they enjoyed time doing skittle experiments with the residents. This is proving to be a very rewarding opportunity for students & residents each week
