Wellbeing Support

Wellbeing Support for Students:

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

During the last week of Term 1, our Parents/Carers and Students were invited to attend a Yr. 12 Information night, which highlighted the importance of looking after their health and wellbeing during Yr.12.  The counselling team explored ways to recognise Stress and Anxiety through the metaphor of storms and waves. The waves of life represent the natural peaks and troughs of life, and managing waves help us gain important skills, build stamina, resilience and confidence.  Storms, are more persistent and often require us to use our internal resources or the support of others, such as friends, family or professionals. Students were introduced to strategies to help them through the waves and storms, including, breathing, the 5 senses of grounding and help seeking skills.  Parents/Carers were informed of ways they can support their child through Yr.12 and included, helping students set boundaries around work, social commitments, screen time and sleep. Our counselling teams are here to support our Yr.12 students through the waves and storms this year so please contact us at via email below if you or your child requires support.
