Take note

Student Free Day
Friday 24 September (the last day of Term 3) is a Student Free Day for all students from Kinder to Year 12, and a Spirituality Day for all staff.
As the College will be closed on this day, please contact CatholicCare if you would like to make arrangements for child care, by emailing ccs.admin@aohtas.org.au
We wish all families a happy and safe holiday break and look forward to seeing all students and staff back on Monday 11 October for the start of Term 4.
Gearing Up for Parent Engagement Toolkit
The Catholic School Parents Council, of which the Tasmanian Catholic Schools Parents Council (TCSPC) is a member, has provided information about an excellent resource that parents and carers of children in both primary and secondary schools might find useful.
The 'Gearing Up for Parent Engagement Toolkit' has been developed for families and schools to make the transition into primary and secondary school a great experience for children, young people and their families. Click on this link to find out more.
Sustainability Fair is here!
We're very excited to host our first-ever Sustainability Fair, which kicks off this afternoon from 3.30pm on the College Green (top ground).
There will be something for everyone with a variety of food and beverage stalls, sustainability-themed workshops, special guests and activities and displays featuring low to no-waste products.
Entry is free, but please ensure you use the COVID-19 Check in TAS app when coming on to the school grounds.
The Sustainability Fair is an initiative of the College's Footprint and Green Teams, who are doing great things to support us all to leave lighter footprints.
After school pick-up reminders
Students in the Junior School awaiting collection by parents and carers need to remain on the bottom court under the supervision of teachers. If they are waiting for siblings in the Senior School to collect them, they are to wait in the courtyard.
Cars are not permitted to wait on Harrington Street for pick up as it is a 'No Parking' zone from 2.30pm. Please remembers to drive in, pick up students and move on so that the system works effectively.
COVID-19 Schools Program
Tasmanian students in Years 11 and 12 can now receive COVID-19 vaccinations under a new roll out delivered by the Tasmanian Government in conjunction with the Department of Education.
Eligible students will get the Pfizer vaccine, which has been approved as safe by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for people 16 years and older.
St Mary's College students will attend the clinic at Guilford Young College Hobart Campus on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 September.
The second vaccine will be delivered mid-October, again over a two-day period at Guilford Young College Hobart.
For more information about the COVID-19 Schools Program, visit the Tasmanian Government coronavirus website here.
Cybersafety event postponed
We're sorry to advise that the Keeping Safe in Cyberspace event has been postponed to next year as result of COVID-19 and associated travel restrictions affecting the key speaker.
The event was to be held on 8 June 2021, but will now take place early in 2022.
The rescheduled date will be announced next year, with more details to be sent closer to the date. Thank you for your understanding.
