3V - Around the Traps

Literacy

We have returned to school with a bang! Students have been learning about different poetic devices and how we can add these into our poetry to make the reader feel what we want them to feel. To hear some of our awesome poems click on the buttons below.

Maths

We have begun a new maths topic in the classroom - time. We have begun with going over the basic concepts of reading a clock first before some students move onto more challenging concepts within ‘time’.

Inquiry

This term our inquiry unit is ‘Earth and Space Science’. Last week we read an amazing book called ‘The Street Beneath,’ which took us on a journey from the Earth’s surface all the way to the core of the Earth and back again. The questions coming from students after reading this book about our Earth were incredible and show that we have many budding scientists in 3V.

RE

This term many students in 3V will be completing their Confirmation and Eucharist. In the lead up to this, we have been learning about the Holy Spirit. When we have the Holy Spirit in us, we show the Fruits of the Spirit. We have begun spending more time learning about The Fruits of the Spirit this week through learning a performance. We will continue this next week.
