PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

What a beautiful time of the year to have all of our students back on site. It has been wonderful over the last ten days to have a chatter across the school. A lot of learning going on in the classroom, with a focus on key curriculum areas of literacy, maths and religion, as well as specialists and a focus on wellbeing. I expect many students are coming home tired as they adjust back to a busy day at school.

As notified this Monday is a School Closure Day. We had two other days planned for this term which we have cancelled and will accommodate the focus for these days through release time for teachers. The decision to scale back our closure days for the year was quite straightforward and in relation to the number of remote learning days and teachers request to spend as much face to face time with students as possible.

Reminders

  • Thanks to those Year 3-6 parents and students who are encouraging wearing face masks at school. If we could request that disposable masks be named, please. The majority of students have been great at wearing masks over the last two weeks.
  • A reminder to please label hats and jumpers where possible so that they can be returned when misplaced.
  • Some of our junior students enjoy bringing toys to school.  We ask that parents oversee this and for special toys that they do not bring to school, as often these toys can get lost or sometimes broken.

Sacraments

Please return the white confirmation card by November the 3rd.

An email was sent on Monday with a card attached if you have misplaced it.
