Principal's Update

Dear parents and carers,

Welcome to our first newsletter for Term 4. The last few weeks have been eventful to say the least - an earthquake, hail storms and our final term of the year commencing. You will by now have heard about the confirmed cases of COVID-19 at our school last week. The necessary cleaning has been undertaken at the school and the students and staff identified as close contacts have been tested and are in isolation. We are here to support everyone who has been impacted by this and look forward to having you back at school soon. If you have any COVID-19 concerns, the DH COVID-19 hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - 1800 675 398.

The weeks ahead are going to be filled with mixed emotions with the staggered return to school. It was wonderful welcoming our Prep students back to school today. We are looking forward to seeing the Grade 1, 2, 5 and 6 students back at school later this week, and the remaining students next week.  We are aiming to make the transition as easy as we can but please reach out to the school at any time with any issues. A webinar was held by the Royal Children's Hospital last week about supporting primary school kids returning to face to face learning - see the page within this newsletter for the links to watch this if you haven't already.

Please ensure you refer to your Compass feed for details on returning to school, including mask requirements.

Stay safe and take care,

Megan
