Sport Reports

With restrictions changing constantly it has been a very tough time to get sporting events organised. The Glenelg Division Committee is meeting tomorrow to discuss the probability of having some sport. I will let students know via email regarding any upcoming sports events.

Saturday Netball

The Hamilton Junior Netball Association is still planning to run their Saturday morning competition. Thank you to the generous volunteers comprised of parents, friends and students who have offered to coach, manage, or umpire our teams. Without your involvement sports such as Saturday morning netball could not take place.

Basketball

With restrictions easing slowly, the Hamilton Basketball Association is hoping to start very soon. Thank you to the volunteers that have organised the Monivae teams. Further information in regard to the upcoming season will be sent to team managers.

Those players no longer playing for Monivae, please return your uniform to the front desk in a bag clearly marked with your name, as this will avoid any additional costs to you.

Last season’s fees are being calculated and an email will be sent out regarding refunds and payments due.

Clay Target

Clay Target training has been able to continue, thanks to the understanding and generosity of the club and parents. Next week will be the final session, where we will be holding the House Competition. More information will be forwarded to the Clay Target team.

Sports Captain – Thank you

As we say goodbye to the Yr 12’s and they head into exam preparation, I would like to say a huge thank you to Chella Biggin the 2021 Sports Captain. It has been a tough year with the remote learning and the cancellation of many sports. Given the year we have had I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you and wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
