Principal's Report

Jonathan Rowe

Dear Parents and Guardians

Welcome to Term 4 and what we hope is the end of remote learning.

Today we find ourselves at the other end of the school experience, sending our young people off for their final day at school. I am grateful today for all the educators and school staff who have nurtured our young men and women throughout their schooling. I am also grateful for the peers and families that have made up their educational experience, and I thank those Monivae families who today send a young person off for the last time. We are lucky to live in Australia - safe and free. The gift of education will hopefully enable our young people to embrace their life beyond school. As a community, we thank our graduating students and their families for their contribution to Monivae College. May the light of Christ shine upon you all forevermore.

Year 12 written exams commence from next Wednesday, 27th, in the Excel Wing and we keep those students undertaking exams in our prayers.

As I communicated recently, the return to onsite learning for all students has been brought forward to this Friday, 22nd October. If there are any questions about the return to onsite learning, please direct them to our Director of Students, Mr. Darren Beks via email: dbeks@monivae.vic.edu.au

College Captains for 2022

I am pleased to announce our 2022 College Captains and Vice Captains. A rigorous process involving student and staff voting, Leadership modules as well as an interview, provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge and strengths. I congratulate every student who nominated for a position of leadership and undertook this discernment process.

College Captains: McKeely Hol and Hamish Kearney

Vice Captains: Bella Nicholls and Joshua Gordon
