Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is great to see our students back onsite and ready for another term of learning!

COVID Restrictions

If there are any updates to our current COVID restrictions (Level 3) these will be communicated to all families. Our current restrictions still apply in school settings.

Thank you for your support of our school. We are blessed to be back on site!

School Photos

Just a reminder that School Photos has been rescheduled for Wednesday 3 November.

Please see News & Notices for further information on how to order photo packs via Compass.

My School Survey

On Monday 11 October, a survey on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese was communicated to parents, staff and students. The survey is designed to gather feedback about our school and will be used to inform school improvement.

The survey is aimed at the satisfaction of different stakeholders across a 12 month period. When completing the survey, please base your decision on your perception of our school over this time.

Responses are confidential and individuals cannot be identified.

If you have not already received an email with a link to the survey, you can access and complete it via https://www.research.net/r/StJosephsWeeWaaPARENT2021 by this Wednesday 20 October

Kindergarten Transition

On Monday 11 October our 2022 Kindergarten students started their first transition session. It was very exciting to finally have them on site. We are looking forward to them having fun and preparing them to be great future students of our school.

St Joseph’s P & F Fundraising & Raffle

Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions, the St Joseph’s P & F were unable to hold a fundraising event this year as originally planned. However, the raffle will still go ahead and will be drawn via Facebook Live on Friday 3 December.

Also, just a reminder that all raffle tickets sent home earlier in the year sold or unsold, are to please be returned to the school office as soon as possible

We will reissue some extra tickets over the next couple of weeks.

World Teachers' Day

Friday 29 October is World Teachers' Day. This is a wonderful initiative supported by our educational support bodies, in particular the Australian Institute Of Teaching and School Leadership (AiTSL). It is a great time to send a message of thanks and appreciation to the staff who work closely with your children.

We love our jobs and working closely with students makes our jobs even more rewarding!

End of Year Celebrations

We are currently in the process of planning for our End of Year Celebrations and waiting for advice from CSNSW and NSW Health. Our COVID restrictions will dictate what we will be able to plan. It will be great to be able to have a celebration with our whole school community.

Please note that we will keep everyone updated via Compass and future newsletters.

Have a wonderful week.

God Bless,

Alistair Stewart
