Each week we focus on a lesson from our Behaviour Matrix.

Week 1- Review the Matrix & set goals.

Week 2 - Bee Safe - All settings - Keep hands, feet & other objects to yourself.

Week 3 - Bee Respectful - All settings - Use the High 5.

Week 4 - Bee Responsible - Learning settings - Be prepared and willing to learn.

Week 5 - Goal review check in & matrix review.

Action for Happiness

Optimistic October - This month's theme: Optimistic October

Especially when things are feeling a bit tough, it can help to set some goals. Making goals achievable and ensuring that you have a few short term as well as longer term, more ambitious goals helps us feel we're making progress. It doesn't matter if your goal for the day is something really small, the important thing is to give yourself the opportunity to feel like you've achieved something and to celebrate that! This month's calendar is full of ideas to help you think about how you can put this into practice

Fathering Project

Glenore Grove SS is now in partnership with this project.

More effective fathers and father-figures means a generation of kids with happier, healthier futures. The Fathering Project aims to inspire and equip fathers and father-figures to positively engage with the children in their lives – for the benefit of kids.

Jump Rope for Heart

Jump Rope for Heart kicks off this term!

Jump Rope for Heart is a fantastic physical activity and fundraising program that has been run by the Heart Foundation for over 36 years. It’s a great way for your child to keep fit and learn new skills, but it also helps raise funds for vital heart research and education programs.

Since Jump Rope for Heart started in 1983, schools like ours have raised more than $104 million for the Heart Foundation’s lifesaving work. Students will be skipping during lunch breaks with Mrs Redgrave, during this time you can share their online fundraising page with family and friends to help raise money for this great cause.

We will hold our school Jump Off Day at the end of term this will mark the end of the program and is a chance for everyone to come together to skip and show off their newly learned skills.

Dear Parents, Between Tuesday 10 August and Thursday 12 August, for every $25 you raise online via your child’s Jump Rope for Heart page, you will earn an entry into the draw to win one of five $100 Myer Gift Cards.

How it works

Reach out to families and friends for donations. You can share your child’s page with friends and family.
Between Tuesday 10 August and Thursday 12 August, you’ll automatically earn an entry for every $25 donated to your child’s page. For example, raise $50 in donations within the promotional period, to get two entries. Raise $100 for four entries etc.
The five lucky winners will be drawn and contacted on Monday 16 August 2021
