Infants

Welcome back to school for 2022! It's great to be back at school together again, and what a way to kick off our school year at Boorowa Central School with our super-special event on Tuesday.

We are looking forward to (hopefully) welcoming parents and community members back to school events before too long, including fortnightly assemblies and other gatherings, so keep an eye out for dates once our school COVID restrictions ease again. Thank you to all families for your cooperation in conducting RATs with your children twice weekly for the next few weeks – we appreciate that it's not easy fitting in another extra thing to do into your morning routines!

Boorowa Central School has several new students in our Infants Department this year, and we warmly welcome them to our wonderful school community.

K/1

Kindergarten students have all proudly had their first (short) week at school! It was fantastic to see them all on Wednesday looking oh so grown up in their new uniforms and ready to start their exciting next step of learning at school. They should all be super proud of themselves for quickly remembering the routines and structures from transition and happily joining in activities, games and play!

Our Year 6 buddies have provided awesome support for our new students, joining them for lunch each day, playing and guiding them in the playground, and helping with some class activities. Thank you to each buddy!

We are very pleased to have some Year 1 students joining us for a combined Kindergarten/Year 1 class this year.

These students are stepping up as great leaders for our class and have shown wonderful kindness and leadership as they have helped our youngest learnings start big school.

Already this week, K/1 has been busy painting and crafting to add to our 'sea theme' classroom, as well as visiting our Innovation Centre for STEM.

Mrs Bridge and I were amazed at the clever design and engineering that occurred on day one and can't wait to see how these skills grow. It's already shaping up for a great year in K/1!
