Blue Mountains Portraits Exhibition at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre

'Blue Mountains Portraits' is the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre’s annual celebration of the local community and its diverse members.

This year, the work of ten Blue Mountains Grammar School Visual Art students will be exhibited alongside works from local artists.

The artworks portray some of the unique people that make up the cultural fabric of the Blue Mountains and tell the stories behind the person in the portrait.

Art Extension is a course run to extend students in Years 7 to 11 who have a passion for Visual Arts. Art making projects in this course are tailored to the students interests and they are designed to allow students to try a range of new materials and techniques and give them the freedom to experiment and express themselves through their own artmaking practice.

At the end of the year all co-curricular students are invited to enter the Dr Marshall Awards and exhibit their work. See this link below for a virtual tour of the exhibits in the 2021 Dr Marshall Art and Design Exhibition.
