Parking

Early Learning Centre

  • We encourage the use of the Kiss ‘n’ Drive for Pre-Primary and Year 1 students.   Staff are on duty from 8:00am to 8:30am for drop off and from 3:00pm to 3:30pm for pick up.  Any students who have not been collected by this time will be taken to Primary Administration.
  • Please notify teachers in the school diary if you wish your child to be brought to Kiss ‘n’ Drive at the end of the day.
  • Please assist with traffic flow in the Kiss ‘n’ Drive by doing a lap if your child has not yet been brought out.
  • There are several things that families can do to help alleviate congestion in the afternoons:
    • Do not arrive too early.
    • Little Wollies and Kindergarten parents are asked to leave promptly after collection at 2:45pm.
    • On many occasions, the main congestion starts to ease from 3:15pm.  If using the Kiss ‘n’ Drive, arriving at this time may result in a quicker pick-up.  Students are supervised by staff until 3:30pm.
  • The rear gravel car park is reserved for staff.
  • Exit via Centre Road, left turn only unless there is traffic congestion.  In this case a right turn is permitted in order to keep exiting traffic moving.  Please do so carefully.

Main car park behind the BDISC

  • The drop off/pick up zone (the Zone) is separate from the car park and is available for use from 3:00pm.  Please only queue in the Zone if your child is ready for collection.
  • Those using the Zone need to keep left and travel the perimeter of the car park.
  • Travel up the Zone as far as possible and only use this area for immediate pick up and drop offs.  For stays longer than two minutes, please utilise the car park.
  • Please be aware of the pedestrian crossing and approach with caution.  The crosswalk is supervised by staff in the morning between 8:10am and 8:30am and in the afternoon 3:00pm to 3:30pm.
  • Those wishing to utilise the car park, need to access via the third row.  The exit is via an opening where drivers must give way and then exit as normal.
  • Vacant car bays in the Student Driver area, can be utilised after school.
  • Exit via Centre Road, left turn only unless visiting the ELC.

Student Parking

  • Student drivers must complete a Student Driver Application Form available on SEQTA.
  • Student drivers are required to reverse park in car bays nearest to the multi-purpose courts.  Other drivers are asked to have patience and give the students the necessary space to perform this manoeuvre safely.
  • To ease congestion, student drivers are not permitted to depart before 3:20pm.

No parking or Student Drop Off/Pick Up Areas

Staff will be monitoring the following locations:

  • In front of the BDISC or anywhere on the slip road.
  • Across Lake Road, The New Spring Church driveway/car park and the bus bays opposite the School.
  • In front of the Main Administration building or Chapel.
  • Uniform Store, unless visiting the Store.
  • Any of the other car bays, car parks or driveway past the Uniform Store unless the student is taking part in after-hours activities.

Crosswalks must be used and please do not cross the road between school buses.

We understand that congestion does occur in our car parks and peaks at the beginning of each year.  The safety of all members of the school community is paramount.  All drivers must exercise caution when on School grounds especially when approaching pedestrian crossings.  Pedestrians must use pedestrian crossings. Drivers are also encouraged to have patience whilst giving way to other vehicles (zipper merging).

These parking guidelines are subject to change as the School strives for continuous improvement.

Urgent need for Traffic Wardens

Those who pass the training will be placed at one of the unmanned crossings in Perth. This is a paid position for two hours per day, five days a week. For more information call 6274 8731.
