FIRST FOOTY GAME

On the 22 April, the grade 5’s and 6’s had their first interschool sport game for the winter season. 

The available sports were soccer, footy (AFL), tennis, netball, sof-crosse and home-sport. This week, the opposition was St Peter’s... We’ll be talking about the footy team and how they went.

We went to the ‘Beena Oval on Kangaroo Road for our very first game. Everyone was really excited as we got on board the bus. A lot of the footy team were playing their first ever game and they loved the experience. In the third quarter of our match, one of our first-timers, Monako from 6D scored her first ever goal!

Tadhg in the backline did a great job taking lots of marks and Bimal, Luke and Oliver S ran and ran for the whole match. 

The team tried really hard, but we unfortunately lost to St. Peter's. 

We are eagerly looking forward to the rest of the season and our next game where we are playing against Oakleigh South.
