NAPLAN testing this month
Year 7 and 9 will be sitting the NAPLAN Online tests from Tuesday 11th May - Friday 21st May 2021.
NAPLAN consists of 4 tests - Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language, and Numeracy.
Our scheduled testing days are:
- 11th May - Reading
- 12th May - Writing
- 14th May - Conventions of Language
- 17th May - Numeracy
All other days in the period 11-21 May 2021 not previously listed will be for catch-up testing.
Students will require head phones for each test to listen to instructions as well as a pen or pencil for their notes. No other equipment is allowed. Calculators are not required for the Numeracy test as a calculator pops up on the screen when it is allowed for a calculation - calculators must not be brought into the examination room. Students may bring a book to read if they finish early.

Traffic Safety
Armidale Regional Council has released an updated map of traffic zones around the school, particularly on Butler Street and along adjacent side streets. These regulations are intended to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians in a very busy and congested area.
No Parking
Drivers may stop in this zone to drop off or pickup passengers or goods for a maximum of two (2) minutes. The driver MUST remain in or within three (3) metres of the vehicle at all times. The vehicle must not be left unattended. If times of operation are shown on the sign, the restriction only applies during the times shown. No Parking zones can also be used to drop off and pick up children.

No Stopping
Stopping is not permitted at any time .If times of operation are shown on the sign, the restriction only applies during the times shown.
Penalty: $349; Demerit Points: YES (2)
Bus Zones
Drivers are not permitted to stop within a bus zone at any time. f times of operation are shown on the sign, the restriction only applies during the times shown.
Penalty: $349; Demerit Points: YES (2)
Stopping on or near a children’s crossing
A driver must not stop on a children’s crossing or on the road within 20 metres before the crossing, and 10 metres after the crossing.
Penalty: $464; Demerit Points: YES (2)
