Qkr Online Ordering
A reminder to all parents and carers to update their student's year level details on the Qkr! app so that lunch orders are delivered to the correct classroom.
When a student's details are not updated, their lunch orders are not delivered to the correct classroom, causing confusion for students, especially those in the early years. The Canteen staff are unable to access Qkr! to change the year level, so we ask all parents and carers to make sure this is done prior to the commencement of Term Two.
A reminder that all orders must be placed prior to 9.00am daily.
Winter Menu
At the start of Term Two, the Winter Menu will be available at the Canteen.
This means that the burrito bowls will no longer be available to purchase, instead being replaced with home cooked curries and jacket potatoes with assorted toppings.
Access to Kindergarten
A reminder to Kinder parents and carers that the locked gate code to access the Kindergarten Building from Nelson Road is C9020Y
The College suggest that parents and carers store this in the notes section of their phone, or somewhere similar, to alleviate the need to call the College Office at the start and end of the school day which is the busiest time of the day.
Uniform Shop
The Uniform Shop will open on the following two days only during the school holidays:
Thursday 22 April, 1.00 - 5.00pm
Friday 23 April, 1.00 - 5.00pm
This will allow families who cannot make it into the shop during term time to come in and purchase any winter uniform items required prior to Term Two commencing and students being required to wear Winter uniform.
If there are students who need a winter uniform fitting and have not yet been into the shop, please contact Branna on 6216 7925, or via email to book an appropriate time. While bookings are not essential, they do assist in scheduling so that multiple families turning up simultaneously can be avoided.
Pathways Program
A new addition to the curriculum repertoire, Pathways is a class for Years 9 and 10. Based on the ACARA Work Studies course, Year 9 Pathways is designed to assist students to prepare for work, creating resumes, preparing for interviews and understanding tax and good financial decisions. Year 10 Pathways is focused on understanding themselves as learners, investigating post Year 10 options in light of their strengths and interests, and preparing their pathways program for Year 11 and 12.
The Pathways team are seeking any College community members who would be interested and available for assisting student Interview Practice late in Term 2. If you would like more information, or would be interested in registering to assist, please email Aimee Woodward.
School Fees
An account statement has been emailed to all families via EdSmart. The invoice shows the total charges for the full year, with the monthly instalment calculated by the total divided by 10.
It is important that all families arrange a payment plan for their school fees so they don’t fall behind. If you are experiencing problems with your fees, please contact either Mrs Kerrie Loveluck, the Business Manager, or the Principal to make alternative arrangements.
An early bird discount of $100 per student is available if your account is paid in full prior to March 31. Any queries regarding your fees can be emailed to accounts@mountcarmel.tas.edu.au or telephone 6216 7900.
