With this event, the secondary school swimming season now draws to a close. Well done and thank you to everyone involved in the trials, training and carnivals.  The students did a fantastic job representing the College, whether they were competing in multiple events, just one event or supporting the team in the stand as a reserve.

Secondary Cricket

Final matches of the Hobart Hurricanes Secondary Cricket roster are being played this afternoon.  Mount Carmel has been represented by two teams in the newly created roster, playing against teams from Collegiate, Sacred Heart, Cosgrove and St Mary's.  There has been some impressive skills on display each week, including big hitting, quick running between the wickets, amazing catches and accurate bowling.  The teams have also enjoyed the music, sweet treats and socialising that has come with this competition.

High School Surf League

Last Tuesday, 17 students representing two Mount Carmel teams participated in the High School Surf League, Surf Lifesaving competition at Kingston Beach.   The team had a fantastic day competing in events such as the beach flags, beach relay, iron woman, rescue tube race and board relay.  One Mount Carmel team was awarded 3rd place, based on their results across all events on the day, a terrific achievement.  Maya Chapman and Pippa Kuylaars were stand out performers on the day.
