Principal

Mr Chris Grimmer

End of Term

It is still extremely busy as we approach the end of term, with the Primary STOMP Performance this week and the informal Primary Meet & Greet next Tuesday evening.  We also have a number of interschool sports teams in action this week, the secondary Parent/Teacher Interviews next Tuesday and the Easter Activities to finish off Term 1.  Thank you to the staff for the huge effort that goes into making these programs a success and thank you to all of our families for the wonderful support you’ve shown.

2021 Merbein P-10 College Council Election

Nominations for school council closed on Friday 19th March. The number of nominations we received matched the number of vacancies on council, therefore a ballot was not required.

I would like to congratulate and thank the following people who have nominated for another two year term on the Merbein P-10 College council.

Ann Penny (Parent Category)

Kerrie Probert (Parent Category)

Sandy I’Anson (Parent Category)

Tracy Craig (Parent Category)

Scott Gardner (Parent Category)

Rob Morgan (DET Category)

Yvonne Matotek (DET Category)

I look forward to continuing to work with council to further develop our college and ensure our students from P-10 are receiving the best possible educational opportunities.

Early Dismissal

Next Thursday, 1st April is the final day of Term 1. Students will be dismissed at the earlier time of 2:15pm.

Most bus services will come an hour earlier than their regular time. However, the NSW bus service will be the exception and will run at the normal time, departing the school at approximately 3.00pm.  School resumes for Term 2 on Monday 19th April.

NB: ALL PUBLIC SERVICE ROUTES WILL CONTINUE TO RUN AT THEIR NORMAL TIMES AS PER THE CURRENT TIMETABLE.

Any student that would normally catch connecting buses will be required to make their own arrangements.

CDC Mildura staff will be happy to advise and assist families with questions.

Reminder: Merbein P-10 Facebook Page

Just a reminder that the college Facebook page was created so that we could share the wonderful work our students complete and the activities and events that they are involved in on a daily basis. We love and appreciate the many positive comments that are made on the page by family and friends, however I would remind everyone that this forum is not the place to ask specific questions relating to your child or make negative comments relating to students or school operations. If you have questions or comments such as this, please ring or email the school. This will ensure our Facebook page continues to be a place of celebration that everyone can access and enjoy!!
