It’s a busy time of the year with student projects progressing and a number of students starting their river tables in furnishing.

Students in Construction are experiencing something a little different with Mr Depiazzi constructing scaffolding around the site shed he is building.

In Metals students are producing some awesome projects such as ute tray backs, trailers and fire pits.

In Automotive they are up to their armpits in oil working on stationary engines, cooling systems and wheel balancing.

Alcoa Visit

This week Mr Craig Watts Apprentice Supervisor from Alcoa, came to the College with three of their apprentices to talk to the Year 12's about potential apprenticeships in Boilermaking, Fitting and Machining and Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to name a few trades.

Two of the apprentices were ex Harvey Ag students, Sarah Hughes and Jasper Bennett.

Several students spoke to Mr Watts after the talk, asking for advice and expressing interest in the apprenticeships. Mr Watts toured the workshops and students were able to show case their projects. Overall it was an informative and interesting visit.
