EST's

The first External Set Task (EST) has been completed and the general consensus was a fair test of knowledge,  we have three to go over the next two weeks. Students need to make the most of the revision materials on CONNECT and not assume the only revision will be during class-time.

Year 10 Animal Production

These classes have been getting out and about, learning first-hand about the College livestock enterprises. Thanks to Mr Millichamp (Beef) and Mr Adams (Sheep) for their time.

OLNA

The OLNA results are currently with the teaching staff. The results will be discussed with the students affected in the coming week, some strategies will be put in place for those students who have not achieved OLNA and parents will receive their students results by email.

Year 12 ATAR Plants Production

The ATAR students are learning about soil structure, texture and type. This week they conducted a soil ribbon test down at Horticulture by smelling, feeling the texture, balling it up and then pushing the soil between their fingers and thumb to create ribbons. The longer the ribbons - the higher the percentage of clay, the shorter the ribbons - the more sand percentage present in the soil.

Year 12 Animal Production

Students are currently studying the Endocrine System as a topic in breeding. This week students were dissecting reproductive organs.
