Eisteddfod News

It has been a hectic few weeks with performances at the Gunnedah Eisteddfod. 

Results

Primary Choir- 2nd place

Kinder Group 1- 1st place, Group 2- Highly Commended

Year 1 Group 1- 1st place, Group 2- Highly Commended

Year 2 Group 1- 2nd place, Group 2- 2nd place

Year 3 Group 1- 2nd place, Group 2- 1st place

Year 4 Group 1- 1st place, Group 2-3rd place

 

Year 5 and 6 will perform their Poems for Two tomorrow at the Civic Theatre.

Winter Uniform

All students should now be in their full winter uniform. 

School Fees

A reminder that school fees are now overdue. Please contact Jeni Muller in the office if there is any issue with your school fee payment.

ICAS

St Xavier's is once again giving students in Years 3 - 6 the opportunity to participate in ICAS Assessments. 

ICAS Assessments TM are designed to recognise academic excellence. Students are assessed on their ability to apply classroom learning to new contexts, using higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills. The assessments will take place between 9 August and 3 September (finals dates are yet to be determined). 

If you would like your child to participate, you must register and pay for them online using the following link and school access code is: UER136

Registrations must be completed online by Friday 16 July.

Subjects are: Maths, English, Science, Spelling Bee, Writing, Digital, Technologies

School Photos

St Xavier's School photos will be held on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 June.

This year, Montage Fotos have introduced online payments. Parents can choose to either pay online or with cash returned to school as per previous years.

Canteen News

Volunteers are desperately needed for the following:

1st Thursdays of the month

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Fridays of the month.

If you can't spare the whole time, Sue is happy to have some people just come in for the mad, lunchtime rush between 12.00 - 1.30pm (especially on Fridays).

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD)

Every year, all schools in Australia participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). The NCCD process requires schools to identify information already available in the school about supports provided to students with disability. These relate to legislative requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005, in line with the NCCD guidelines (2019).
